SHAHRUL DID IT
5As, 4As, 3As, 2As.....Yes, Shahrul, Nasrul, Azli and Najeeha. I have to admit I cried on Nov 15 after collecting Shahrul's UPSR result. It was one of the most exciting moments.
I am glad that he made it even without burning the midnight oil, so to speak. I guess, he must have taken it after his Ayah! Although some may argue it may have come from his Mama!! A little here and there....
It was worth the scoldings and pestering all these months. Allah is great and the teachers were fantastic. Tuition teachers are also, well, good.
But the boy is something else.
He volunteered to attend an additional tuition class for BM three months before UPSR. And it worked.
The feelings while waiting for the announcement were different from three years ago when Athira sat for her UPSR. Then, I got to the result several days before the BIG day from a friend in the Education Department.
It was smooth sailing. But this time, I had butterflies in my tummy for one week, I could not sit still, always sitting on the edge, UPSR constantly on my mind.
I am glad it ended well. But only half the battle won. I will still have to face another suspense come end of December. Yes, PMR's result will be out on Dec 27, so they say.
As for my nephews and nicece, I would like to say this. You beat Uncle Shem who only got 1A in the Standard Five examination, an equivalent to UPSR.
