No, I did not get this from my Mama. But as the music got louder and louder and everyone's pumping it, Black Eyed Peas was surely the winner. Those who were at the Arena of Stars (including yours truly and Athira) were bigger winners, watching an internationally renowned artistes performing up close. It was out of this world. Athira was uncontrollable, jumping up and down, screaming and waving frantically. If you can't beat them, join them. And so I did. It was a hot but clean affair. I have seen local artistes drinking beer on stage to keep them active, but BEP drank mineral water, lots and lots of it. Earlier, we had Chinese dinner at Genting Palace of Genting Hotel. Arena of Stars was not packed to the brim, but just enough to create the heaty environment in the otherwise cool mountain resort. But the long journey down was a little packed, with a roadblock set up in front of the late Lim Goh Tong's villa. They were probably worried someone might want to steal his body!

Shahrul SMSed me at 8.37 to say he is already in Langkawi. Am glad...that he is safe, he is enjoying himself, he finally made it to the Island which even I have not. But I know I am going to miss him for the next two days. Takpelah kan. Releasing him to the world wide world little by little. He will have to be out there on his own sooner or later. So, I guess this is a good start. Athira is going on Nov 12-14, a day after I come back from the paradise for a treasure hunt. So, it is going to be Adrin the next time? You bet, we will all go to Langkawi one fine day. Me? I am going to watch Black Eyed Peas after Friday prayers today!

Yo, you out there! Jangan jealous, but I will be at Genting Highlands on Friday (Oct 26) to watch Black Eyed Peas in concert. Yes, jangan jealous. I am taking my daughter Athira and maybe my son, Shahrul (if he is not going to Langkawi this weekend) to enjoy the show. Where is the Love? The answer will be heard, loud and clear (and crispy too) in Genting. Kesian my other teenage anak saudara. Eat your heart out ye1 Extended an offer to Nadira last night, but she has an examination and she is in afternoon session. So, no go! Jangan bersedih, just go out there, pasar malam ke, kedai kat rumah ke, and find the pirated albums.

On the third day of Raya, we visited Kak Wai's place in Subang. But the most memorable must be a visit to Kak Manja's house in Sungai Buloh Country Resort. I got to meet her mom, Mak's cousin, fondly known as Mak Yok although her real name is Rashidah. It is a well known fact that names of persons were changed for various reasons many years ago. Hence Mak Yok, Kak Wai, Dolah, Kak Tah etc. In a pink of health although her legs have failed her. Kak Manja promised to pay us a visit but Mak Yok cautioned that she may not make it as she is not exactly strong, like many lightyears ago where she could roam Muar on foot.
Surprise, surprise. Yesterday, she was at the doorstep with Kak Manja's family. Athira was quick to blend in with the girls. Norlida cooked Mee Kari and looking at them having second and third helpings thrilled us. They left two hours later with Athira getting an invite to stay overnight at her place. One fine day.

It was a good first day. We gathered at Kak Tah's house in Taman Melawati and had a fun time with my siblings and my anak saudara...even cucu saudara. We then visited Shidah. I visited Mom's grave in the evening during a downpour. Hope she is blessed in the other world.
